John Edward ``Johnny'' Johnson, 70, of the 200 block of Hansen Ave., died March 29, 1995, in Manning Convalescent Home.
Mr. Johnson was born in Menola, N.C., and was a former member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in New York City.
Survivors include a brother, Lee A. Johnson of Portsmouth; a sister-in-law, Luzara Johnson of Portsmouth; two nieces, Pamela Johnson of Portsmouth and Beverly Wilson of Philadelphia, Pa.; four nephews, Army SFC Henry L. Johnson of Korea, Robert A. Johnson of California, Bernard Johnson of Suffolk and Barry Johnson of Garner, N.C.; one uncle; four aunts; cousins and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 2:30p.m. Saturday in Corprew Funeral Home, Portsmouth, by the Rev. Ronnie T. Northam Sr. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. Viewing will begin at noon today.
