Ann Kimball Hartley, age 78, of 206A N. Dyer St, Elizabeth City, died Thursday, March 30, at Chesapeake General Hospital. She was a native of Vance Co, NC, and a member of Wise Baptist Church.
She was the daughter of the late T.D. and Mary Kimball Kimball and the widow of Vernon Elwood Hartley.
Mrs. Hartley is survived by two daughters, Barbara Bartlett of Kill Devil Hills, NC, and Janice Burgess of Shawboro, NC; two sons, Vernon Arthur Hartley and Sidney Elwood Hartley, both of Elizabeth City, NC; two sisters, Janie Rivers of Warrenton, NC, and Elsie Harwood of Gilead, NC; four brothers, Luther Kimball of Victoria, VA., Harold Kimball of Greenville, SC, George Kimball of Raleigh, NC, and Boyce Kimball of Durham, NC; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted on Sunday, April 2, at 2:00 p.m. in Westlawn Memorial Pk. Cemetery with Rev. Glen Everett officiating. The family will be at the funeral home Sat. evening from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. and at other times at the home of the daughter, Janice Burgess on Gregory Rd. in Shawboro, N.C.
Twiford's Memorial Chapel, 405 E. Church St., Elizabeth City is in charge of arrangements.
