Harry Ricks, 85, of the 100 block of Gregg St., a retired longshoreman, died March 29, 1995, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
A native of Smithfield, Va., he was the son of the late Thaddius and Manerva Ricks. He retired from International Longshoremen's Association Local 1248 after 30 years.
Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Ricks; and a sister, Martha Tilter of Boston, Mass.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Monday at Riddick Funeral Service, 1225 Norview Ave., by Elder A.D. Wright. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The family will be at the funeral home from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday and other times at the residence.
