I am a baby boomer. I grew up in the era when it was fashionable to smoke a joint, drink a beer, burn your bra and take the name of God in vain. In my later 20s, I asked Jesus Christ into my life and took the morals and values of the Bible as my own.
With the exceptions of the Garden of Eden and the Promised Land of Israel, God has blessed the United States above all nations in history. I believe the reason is that our forefathers embraced God in the founding of our nation. Early Americans knew the importance of church, and they praised and thanked the God who had given them the new land.
A few people still praise and thank God today, but more live the life of Sodom and Gomorrah which God judged with fire and brimstone. Will the United States go bankrupt? Will we all perish from AIDS, venereal disease, smoking, alcoholism and germ and nuclear warfare? Will God rain fire and brimstone again?
I believe we would fare much better if we would repent, open the Bible and read it and obey it from Page 1 to the end. May God bless America again.
