James Thomas Burns, 55, died March 30, 1995.
He was retired from Virginia Natural Gas and was the son of James A. and Ola Ambrose Burns of Moyock, N.C. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Sabrina Colley Burns; three daughters, Michelle Johnson of Chesapeake, Cheryl Wright of Kannapolis, N.C., and Jaime Goodman of Virginia Beach; a son, David Goodman of Virginia Beach; a brother, Larry W. Burns and a sister-in-law, Barbara J. Burns, both of Moyock, N.C.; a sister, Ola Mae Barnette, and a brother-in-law, Harold Barnette, both of Chesapeake; and two grandchildren.
A service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Twiford Colonial Chapel, Chesapeake. Burial will follow in Laurel Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
