Joseph Evans Jr., 76, of the 2200 block of Seaboard Road, died March 30, 1995, in his home.
He was a native of Norfolk and was a former member of Bethleham Baptist Church. He was a retired worker for the Parcel Post Service employed by the Navy Supply Center.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel H. Evans; two daughters, Marie Brown of Virginia Beach and Doris Evans of Norfolk; one sister, Minnie Lee McCoy of Virginia Beach; one brother, Thomas Evans of Virginia Beach; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Maria C. and Joseph Evans Sr.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Wesley Union A.M.E. Zion Church, 708 Johnson Ave., Norfolk, by the Rev. P.N. Shannon. Burial will be in Colonial Grove Memorial Gardens.
