John Daniel Gaskill, 78, died March 30, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.
He was retired from the United States Coast Guard and was a native of Ocracoke, N.C. He was the widower of Ruby K. Gaskill.
Survivors include a niece, Mary F. Leftwich of Richmond, Va., and several other nieces and nephews.
The graveside service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. today in Forest Lawn Cemetery, by the Rev. Ernest L. Trueblood. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is handling the arrangements.
