Churchland Primary school in Portsmouth celebrated Multicultural
Week, starting last Monday and climaxing Friday with an Around the
World Parade. Cultural attire, such as the traditional Japanese
dress worn by students marching through the school hallways, and
decorations were exhibited during the parade. The children were
divided into three pods and each pod studied a different country and
its culture. Pod A studied Japan, Pod B studied Africa, and Pod C
studied the Hawaiian/Polynesian culture.
