LUCILLE P. WHITEHEAD

Lucille Pence ``Lucy'' Whitehead, 74, died March 30, 1995, in her residence.

Mrs. Whitehead was a native of Lomax, Ill. She was the widow of Jack N. Whitehead, and was a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church in Virginia Beach. She had retired from the Smith-Douglass Company after 34 years as an Executive Secretary and Sales Supervisor.

She was predeceased by a sister, Stella Smith, and a brother, Jerry Pence. Survivors include four sisters, Roberta H. Avery of Newhope, Pa., Eileen J. Winegard of Scottsdale, Ariz., Laura P. Kasterke of Clinton, Iowa, and Dorothy Lynn Myers of Mediapolis, Iowa; one brother, Frederick J. Pence of Lawrence, Kansas; and numerous friends and co-workers.

A Memorial Mass will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, April 3, 1995, at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church by Father Anselm Ober and Father Francis Gargani. Burial will be at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to the St. Joseph's Home for the Elderly Poor, 1503 Michael Road, Richmond, Va. or St. Gregory the Great Church Building Fund. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, is handling the arrangements.
