Rodrigo C. Damian Sr., 68, of the 600 block of Bartell Dr., and of Olongapo City, Philippines, died March 25, 1995, in the Philippines.
He was a born in San Narcisco, Zambales, and was retired from the U.S. Navy as an MS2. He was a veteran of World War II and Korea, and was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association of Olongapo City, Philippines, Branch (NU)74.
Survivors include a daughter, Rebecca Danielson of Chesapeake; a son, Rodrigo C. Damian Jr. of Virginia Beach; three grandchildren, Dorothy Curaran, Clarice Damian, and Victoria Damian, all of Virginia Beach; a sister, Soledad Mascarina; four nieces, Mercedes Mascarina, Milagros Fontilla, and Thelma Ebuen, all of Olongapo City, P.I., and Eufredes Mascarina Rizk of Milwaukee, Wisc.; two nephews, Paterno Mascarina and Ferdinand Mascarina, both of Olongapo City, P.I.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, by Father Santiago Frias. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will be at the funeral home Monday from 7 to 8 p.m., and also at the home of his son, Rodrigo C. Damian Jr., 178 Hill Prince Road, Virginia Beach, following the funeral service. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association. Military Honors will be accorded at graveside.
