Kathyrn M. Weiss, 85, of the 3200 block of Old Mill Road, died April 1, 1995, in her home.
She was a native of Riverview, N.C., and was the widow of Oscar Leon Weiss. She was a retired seamstress and was an active member of Deep Creek United Methodist Church. She also volunteered for Meals on Wheels in Chesapeake, and was active in the Senior Citizens Club of Deep Creek. She was the most wonderful mother in the world.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathryn Twiford of Elizabeth City, N.C., and Thelma Miller of Chesapeake; one son, William Earl Tucker of Chesapeake; eight grandchildren, Brent Cherry of Norfolk, Kay Patterson of Currituck, N.C., John Tucker of Louisville, Ken., Wayne Sawning of Virginia Beach, Kathy Ross of Virginia Beach, Sheila Collins of Jacksonville, Fla., Ralph Sawning of Madison, Wisc., and Craig Miller of Morrison, Colo.; 20 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren.
The memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Deep Creek United Methodist Church. Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Highway Chapel, is handling the arrangements. The family will be at her home, 3221 Old Mill Road, Chesapeake.
