George Wilbert Jones Sr., 79, of the 1100 block of Lindale Drive, died Sunday, April 2, 1995, in Chesapeake.
Mr. Jones was born in Kinston, N.C. He had retired from J.G. Wilson Corp. He was a member of South Norfolk Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Ambrose Jones; two sons, George Wilbert Jones Jr. of Orlando, Fla. and William E. Jones of Chesapeake; two sisters, Effie E. Dech and Flossie Mae Marshall, both of Chesapeake; two brothers, James Jones and Charles F. Jones Jr., both of Chesapeake; and one grandchild.
The graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Riverside Memorial Park, Norfolk, by the Rev. John Keane. Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, in charge. Memorial donations may be made to the South Norfolk Church of Christ or to a favorite charity.
