Nellie J. Stewart, 89, formerly of the 2500 block of Greenwood Drive, died April 1, 1995, in Virginia Beach.
Mrs. Stewart was born in Vicker, Va. and was the widow of Arthur J. Stewart Sr. She was a member of Mt. Tabor Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Laura Frances Stinnett of Portsmouth, Va.
Survivors include one son, Arthur ``Jack'' Stewart and wife, Betty of Virginia Beach; sister-in-law, Mary Stewart of Belmont, Va.; two grandsons, Jerry Wayne Stewart and wife, Frances of Glade Spring and Robert ``Bob'' Stinette and wife, Cathy of Fitchburg, Mass.; one granddaughter, Judy Stewart Span of Virginia Beach; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted Tuesday, April 4, 1995, at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Allen L. Dooley in Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Highway Chapel. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m.
