Clinton Forrest Faison Jr., of Shore Drive, died March 31, 1995, at Virginia Beach General Hospital.
Mr. Faison was born in Washington, D.C., and was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. He attended VPI (1936-1940). He was president and lieutenant colonel of Corps of Cadets; vice president of the German Club; listed among ``Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges''; member of Omicron Delta Kappa, Tau Beta Phi, Eta Kappa Nu, Phi Kappa Phi and American Institute of Electrical Engineers; president of VPI Student Senate; and served in the Pacific Theater as a captain in the U.S. Army Signal Corps during WWII; and was awarded the Bronze Star for his action. He was an employee of the General Electric Co. for 39 years, retiring in 1983 as district manager, S.E. district. He was a member of the Eastern Shore Alumni Association of VPI, Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers, Norfolk Chapter, Saints and Sinners, Khedive Temple, Eastern Shore Shriners, Eastern Shore Yacht and Country Club, Moose Lodge, Bell Haven and American Society of Naval Engineers.
Survivors include his wife, Christine R. Faison; a son, C. Forrest Faison III, M.D., commander, Medical Corps, U.S. Navy. He was predeceased by his father, Clinton F. Faison Sr.; his mother, Mae A. Faison; his brother, Edward Lee Faison; and his sister, Mrs. W.W. Lanier.
Funeral services will be conducted from the graveside in Fairview Lawn Cemetery, Onancock, on Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Andrew Zeman. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, c/o William S. Custis, P.O. Box 76, Onancock, Va. 23417. Family and friends may call at the Williams Onancock Funeral Home on Monday evening from 7 to 8 p.m.
