Helen Turner Jarvis, 93, of the 5900 block of Glenhaven Crescent, died Monday, April 3, 1995, in her residence.
She was born in Princess Anne County, Va., and was the daughter of the late Eva Land and Henry Woodhouse Turner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Carroll Jarvis.
Mrs. Jarvis was a member of Park Place United Methodist Church and its Laura Fenn Bible Class. She also was a former member of the Glenhaven Garden Club and a Circle of Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters.
Survivors include a daughter, Ann J. Hudgins and her husband, Frank of Norfolk; a brother, William C. Turner of Norfolk; four grandchildren, Susan H. Flavin and Molly H. Samuels, both of Virginia Beach, Lynn H. Berry of Richmond and M. Franklin Hudgins Jr. of Norfolk; and seven great-grandchildren.
A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Elmwood Cemetery by the Rev. Francis E. Collins. The family will be at 1059 Manchester Ave., Norfolk. Memorial contributions may be made to Park Place United Methodist Church or to Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters. Cox Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
