Virginia Power and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers have reached a tentative agreement on a new three-year labor contract covering 3,800 workers at the utility. The previous contract, which was to have expired at midnight Friday, has been extended to give eight union locals a chance to vote on the proposed agreement in a series of meetings over the next month.
