Workers at Overnite Transportation Co.'s terminal in Chesapeake have rejected Teamsters union representation by a 2-to-1 margin, said David Vinson, president of Local 822. ``We had a bunch of people jump ship the last week,'' Vinson said, ``but that's the way it goes.'' The Chesapeake workers rejected the union 58-29. The vote was last Friday. Richmond-based Overnite, a subsidiary of Union Pacific Corp., is one of the largest non-union trucking companies in the U.S. Its terminals have increasingly been targeted by Teamsters organizers.
