ALMERIE HUDSON

Almerie Hudson of the 7000 block of Rosefield Drive, died April 1, 1995, in a local hospital.

She was born in Robersonville, N.C., and was the widow of Jesse Hudson. Mrs. Hudson was a member of Queen Street Baptist Church.

Survivors include nine daughters, Lola Chapman, Angelina Hopkins, Wanda Bess, Adriana Bess and Charlene Foust, all of Norfolk, Sylvia Howard of Chesapeake, Christine Austin, Joanne Austin and Darlene White, all of Norfolk; two sisters, Ernestine Smith of Norfolk and Mary Ward of Baltimore; a brother, Donald Knight of Norfolk; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a niece and god-daughter, Gwendolyn Mayo of Chesapeake; an aunt, Minnie V. Gainer of Robersonville; four sons-in-law; one brother-in-law, James T. Smith; one sister-in-law, Nellie Gaynor; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Queen Street Baptist Church by the Rev. Peter Wherry. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The family will assemble at 979 Wolcott Ave. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Graves Funeral Home is in charge.
