David Allen Derr, 25, of the 1800 block of E. Ocean View Ave., died Monday, April 3, 1995, in Norfolk.
Mr. Derr, a native of Hanover, Pa., was a cook at the Commodore Theatre, Portsmouth. He was a 1988 graduate of Churchland High School; a 1993 graduate of Old Dominion University; and a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.
Survivors include his parents, James E. and Virginia Rogers Derr of Norfolk; a sister and brother-in-law, Beth and Michael Andrew of Easton, Md.; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Suzannah Derr of Johnstown, Pa.; and his daughter, Alaina.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 6, in Trinity Episcopal Church, High and Court Streets, Portsmouth, by the Rev. Geoffrey Hahneman. Burial will be in Trinity Episcopal Churchyard Columbarium at a later date. Foster Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church Music Fund.
