Raymond H. Williams Sr. of the 700 block of Pile St., died April 1, 1995.
He was born in Prince Edward County in Farmville, Va. He was a former member of First Baptist Church, Crestwood in Chesapeake.
Survivors include his wife, Mary G. Williams; three daughters, Edith Drake, Barbara Liston and Mary Bernard, all of Chesapeake; two sons, Cleveland Williams of Chesapeake and Raymond Williams Jr. of Portsmouth; two sisters, and two brothers, all of Baltimore, Md.; 21 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church, Crestwood, by the Rev. Willie L. Samuels, Pastor. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk. Pretlow & Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake, is handling arrangements. The family will receive friends at 630 Lafayette St., Chesapeake, and will also assemble there at noon Thursday for the processional to the church.
