A Kempsville High School freshman who shot himself in the head Monday while playing a game died early Tuesday, police said.
Travon Russell, 14, of the 200 block of Weller Blvd., had been on life support since a .38-caliber bullet passed through his head while he was playing with a revolver at a friend's home.
The gun belonged to the friend's parents.
