Clifford Garrett Finegan, 59, of Cardinal St., died Monday, April 3, 1995, in a Chesapeake, Va., hospital.
He was a native of Washington, D.C., and a retired Deputy Marshall of the District of Columbia Superior Court. He was a Disabled American Veteran and had been inducted into the Washington Softball Hall of Fame, having been recognized nationally as a pitcher. Mr. Finegan served in the U.S. Navy. He was the son of the late Daniel Joseph Finegan and the late Mrs. Opal Vello Stark Finegan.
Mr. Finegan is survived by his aunt, Wynell Ross of California; one uncle, Henry Ross of California; a niece and a nephew, both of Texas.
A chapel service will be conducted today in the Twiford Colony Chapel, Manteo, at 10:30 a.m. by Father Terrence Collins. A graveside service will be conducted on Friday in Quantico National Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. The family will assemble at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. today.
Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans Association. Twiford's Funeral Home, Manteo, is in charge of arrangements.
