Leonard Cleveland ``L.C.'' Cutchins, 72, of 23386 Grant St., died Wednesday, April 5, 1995.
Mr. Cutchins was a lifelong resident of Southampton County and was the son of the late Linwood C. and Naomi Fowler Cutchins. He was a retired machinist for St. Regis Paper Company and was a Methodist.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Virginia Duck Cutchins; four daughters, Bonnie C. Dunlow of Morehead City, N.C., Patricia C. Harrell of Sedley, Sandra C. Vinson of Franklin, Sylvia C. Gibbes of Richmond; three sons, Wayne Cutchins, Gary Cutchins, Edwin Cutchins, all of Franklin; eleven sisters, Mazie Baugham of Franklin, Jessie Pope of Newsoms, Catherine Stephenson of Ivor, Alice Hill of Norfolk, Marion Swindell of Plymouth, N.C., Kate Rush of Florida, Elizabeth Sadler of Charlottesville, Betty Throckmorton of Richmond, Bertha Baugus of Alaska, Rebecca Mercer of Bradenton, Fla., Millie Butner of Greensboro, N.C.; three brothers, Frank Porter of Texas, Lee Ethridge of Chesapeake, Jim Long of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, by the Rev. Reginald Warren and the Rev. Howard Vinson. Burial will be in Southampton Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the residence and suggests that memorials be made to the Courtland Volunteer Fire Department or Courtland Rescue Squad.
