Cary Ambler Willcox Jr., 72, of McGinnis Circle, died Tuesday, April 4, 1995, at his home with his family.
Mr. Willcox was born in Norfolk, and was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Cary Ambler Willcox Sr. He was the widower of Virginia Moore Willcox. He graduated from Maury High School, and was a combat veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He earned a B.A. degree from the College of William and Mary, started as a real estate agent and eventually worked his way to being a self-employed real estate developer and owner.
Survivors include three sons, Cary A. Willcox III, David W. Willcox, Danial J. Willcox; a daughter, Linda Willcox Adelsen; two sisters, Mrs. Ralph B. Fuda of Richmond and Mrs. T. Ralph Jones Jr.; a brother-in-law, Michael Adelsen; a sister-in-law, Barbara Willcox; four grandchildren, Andrew and Virginia Adelsen, Kyle and Michelle Willcox; and many relatives.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Elmwood Cemetery by the Rev. Tommy Taylor. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in his name to the American Cancer Society.
