WM. LINFORD STALLINGS

William Linford Stallings, 61, of Route 1, died Wednesday, April 5, 1995.

Mr. Stallings was born in Perquimans County. The son of the late William Daughtrey and Mrs. Mary Hofler Stallings, he was a farmer and a member of Sandy Cross Baptist Church.

Surviving are one sister, Doris Jean Perry, and her husband, Starkie Perry, of Suffolk; one brother, Ernest C. Stallings and his wife, Betty Stallings of Belvidere; four nieces, Mary Stallings, Susan Stallings, Shirley Stallings and Hope Perry; and one nephew, Sonny Perry.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Stallings Family Cemetery by the Rev. Bobby Hewitt. Friends may join the family from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville, and other times at the home of his brother, Route 1, Belvidere. Memorial contributions may be made to the Perquimans County Rescue Squad.
