Margaret Thompson ``Polly'' Biittner, 73, of the 400 block Forest Hill Crescent, a homemaker, died April 6, 1995, in Obici Hospital.
Mrs. Biittner was born in Nansemond County, and was the widow of Ralph Augustus Biittner. She was a member of Liberty Spring Christian Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Margaret Simmons of Moyock; two sons, Ralph A. Biittner of Suffolk and Charles T. Biittner of Claremont; a sister, Marion T. Shaw of Suffolk; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Jackson Thompson and Elijah H. Thompson.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Bill Simmons. The family will receive friends at Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. today and other times at 402 Forest Hill Crescent, Suffolk, and suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Nansemond-Suffolk Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 1515, Suffolk, Va. 23439.
