THOMAS E. CHAPMAN

Thomas Earl ``Tom'' Chapman, 54, of Route 3, Box 301, Sims St., died April 5, 1995, in Sentara Nursing Center, Virginia Beach, of Alzheimer's Disease.

Mr. Chapman was born in Wheeling, W.Va., and was a retired refrigeration employee of the U.S. government. He was a member of London Bridge Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel E. Chapman of the home; two daughters, E. Renee and Stanley Grimmett of Great Bridge and Angela H. Chapman of Moyock; three sons, Joel L. and Trisha Chapman of Florida, Thomas ``Jeffrey'' and Kim Chapman of Churchland and Christopher J. Chapman of Chesapeake; two brothers, Donald and Jack Chapman of West Virginia; and three grandchildren, Stanley ``Will'' Grimmett and Grant and Brittany Chapman.

A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in London Bridge Baptist Church by the Rev. Tommy Taylor. Burial will be at sea at a later date. The family will receive friends at the church from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel, is handling arrangements. The family requests contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation, c/o Hampton Roads Chapter (NU)20 The Koger Center, Suite 233, Norfolk, Va. 23502.
