THELMA F. CARTWRIGHT

Thelma F. Cartwright, of the 900 block of E. Liberty St., died Tuesday, April 4, 1995, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Cartwright was born in Norfolk and was a member of St. Mark United Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband, William E. Cartwright; six daughters, Thelma E. Taylor, Brenda Chesson, Joyce Gardner, all of Norfolk, Bernice Barron, Gracie Butts and Sandra Barron, all of Chesapeake; four sons, Leonard Barron, Charles Cartwright, both of Norfolk, Harold Barron of Bowie, Md., and Clarence Barron of Aikens, S.C.; two sisters, Gertrude Reid, Annie M. Little, both of Chesapeake; 45 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in St. Mark United Church of Christ, Norfolk, by the Rev. Thomas J. Hart. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park. The body will be placed in the church at 9 a.m. Saturday. Family and friends will assemble at 916 E. Liberty St., Norfolk, at 11 a.m. for the funeral processional to the church. Metropolitan Funeral Service is handling arrangements.
