Randolph Nelson, 85, of the 7000 block of University Drive, died April 4, 1995, in DePaul Medical Center.
Mr. Nelson was born in Winnsboro, S.C., and was retired as a supervisor from Giant Open Air Warehouse after 40 years. He was a member of United House of Prayer for All Peoples (NU)1 and the Male Usher Board.
Survivors include his wife, Claudia Mae Nelson; five sisters, Narcissus Rabb, Catherine Brooks, Helen Harvey and Emma Cooper of Winnsboro, S.C., Margaret Mickens of Baltimore; two brothers, Nelson Chambers of Winnsboro and Celess Chambers of Philadelphia; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mamie N. and Robert Chambers Sr.
A funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday in United House of Prayer for All Peoples (NU)2 by Apostle W.R. Scott. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Roosevelt Memorial Park. A wake will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Saturday in Hale Funeral Home. The family will assemble at the residence.
