Sarah Earley Davis of the 1200 block of Davis Bay Road, formerly of Murfreesboro, died Thursday, April 6, 1995, at her residence.
She was a native of Bertie County, the daughter of the late Clay Bryant and Victoria Early Earley and the widow of Willis Gilmer Davis Sr.
Mrs. Davis is survived by five daughters, Madeline D. Bryant, June D. Pickell and Elsie Pierce, all of Elizabeth City, Mary Lou Turner of Emporia, Va., and Debbie D. Lewis of New Bern; five sons, Willis G. Davis Jr. of Chesapeake, Michael C. Davis of Elizabeth City, Charles R. Davis of Cornelia, Ga., Teddy C. Davis of New Bern and James Daryl Davis of Jackson; four sisters, Mildred Lowe and Mae Earley, both of Chesapeake, Margaret Langston of Elizabeth City and Viola Earley of Washington, N.C.; 33 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday in Twiford's Memorial Chapel, Elizabeth City, with Pastor Asa Lowe officiating. Burial will follow in Jackson Cemetery, Jackson, N.C., at 4 p.m.
