Norfolk State University today is hosting a conference on ``Partnerships Focusing on School, Family and Community.''
The eighth annual Statewide African American Students in Today's Schools conference runs from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Nursing Education Building.
Designed for teachers and the community, the event's workshops will focus on sharing resources and strategies to help meet the educational needs of minority students.
Roderick R. Paige, superintendent of the Houston, Texas, Independent School District, is the keynote speaker and Gwendolyn Everett, curriculum specialist for the National Museum of American Art in Washington, will be the luncheon speaker.
