CHARLES C. SIPE

Charles Cecil Sipe, 69, of the 4000 block of Penny Lane, died Thursday, April 6, 1995, in a local hospital.

Mr. Sipe was the son of the late Charles Daniels and Annie Robinson Sipe. He was a retired construction worker.

He was preceded in death by his wie, Margaret Skeen Sipe; three brothers, Willis, Ernest Sr., and Arthur P. Sipe; and a sister, Elizabeth Sipe.

Survivors include two daughters, Wanda Gail Pope of Danville, Ga., Shirley Jean Collins of Cochran, Ga.; a son, Stephen Blake Sipe of Chesapeake; two sisters, Betty Smith of Frederick Hall, Kattie Moris of Stainerville; four brothers, Richard Sipe and Warren Sipe, both of Charlottesville, Lee Sipe of Keysville, Ed Sipe of Virginia Beach; and five grandchildren.

A service will be held Monday, April 10, 1995, at 2 p.m. in Effort Church, Charlottesville, Va. with the Rev. Sidney Craig officiating. The body will be placed in the church at noon on Monday. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Twiford Colonial Chapel, Chesapeake and at other times at the residence.
