Angela Grizzard Wyche, 69, died April 6, 1995, peacefully in her home after a long illness.
Mrs. Wyche was born in Greensville County, Va. She graduated from Mary Washington College and is a descendant of Sarah Ball Dameron, first cousin to Mary Ball Washington, for whom the college is named. Mrs. Wyche taught in the public schools of Virginia for 23 years. She was an active member of Eastern Shore Chapel Episcopal Church, MWC Alumni Association, Delta Kappa Gamma Society, and past president of the Texas Jack Association.
Mrs. Wyche is survived by her husband of 45 years, Malvern H. Wyche Sr.; a daughter, Kitty Wyche Pelkan of Seattle, Wa.; a son, Malvern H. Wyche Jr. of Buxton, N.C.; two brothers, Everette Grizzard of Cary, N.C. and Harold Grizzard; and two grandchildren, Brandon and Holly Wyche of Buxton, N.C.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 9, 1995, in Eastern Shore Chapel Episcopal Church in Virginia Beach by the Rev. Andy MacBeth and the Rev. Gary Rowe. In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Wyche requested that memorial donations be made to the ALS Association, 21021 Ventura Blvd. 321, Woodland Hills, Ca. 91364, or to the St. Martha's Herb Garden Circle, 2020 Laskin Road, Virginia Beach, Va. 23454. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel are handling the arrangements.
