Daisy B. Lee Lester, 87, of the 7000 block of Auburn Ave., died Thursday, April 6, 1995, in Lake Taylor Hospital.
Mrs. Lester was born in Goldpoint, N.C., and was the daughter of the late Albert and Isadora Pippens Lester. She was the widow of John R. Lester. She was retired from the housekeeping department of Norfolk Public Schools after 15 years.
Survivors include one son, Allen L. Hodges of Suffolk; two sisters, Louise Newman and Bessie Thomas, both of Trenton, N.J.; grandchildren, Amy Hodges and Allen Devon Whitley; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be conducted Monday, April 10, 1995, at 1 p.m. by Elder A.D. Wright in Riddick Funeral Service. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m.
