The 11th annual Greater Hampton Roads Crime Line Telethon, which was held Saturday night, netted more than $92,000 to help catch criminals.
The goal this year was $95,000.
The three-hour telethon featured victims of crimes that were solved from tips as well as pictures and descriptions of wanted felons. Callers could tip officials to suspects' whereabouts or donate money.
Funds will go to Crime Line programs in Hampton Roads and will be used to help pay rewards from tips.
Crime Line pays rewards of up to $1,000 to individuals who provide information about crimes in participating cities and counties.
Callers do not have to reveal their names or testify. They are paid only if information leads to an arrest. by CNB
