Marie Cecilia Coburn, died on April 9, 1995, after a long battle with emphysema.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Commander James W. Coburn.
Survivors include one sister, Nora Bazzell of Ellicott City, Md.; two children, Robert W. Coburn of Virginia Beach and Kathleen Bailey of Woodbridge, Va.; and three grandchildren, Brandon and Sheri Bailey and Melissa Coburn.
It was her wish to donate her body to The Virginia Anatomical Society in Richmond to help others.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Norfolk Fire & Rescue Squad and The Navy Relief Fund.
