SAMUEL A. THOMPSON

Samuel Alfred Thompson, 92, of the 3000 block of Galberry Road, died Saturday, April 8, 1995, in a Chesapeake hospital.

Mr. Thompson was the son of the late Alfred and Bertha Thompson. He was retired from the Richmond Cedar Works as chief engineer and was a member of the Broadmoor Congregation of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Chesapeake.

Survivors include his wife, Hattie Etheridge Thompson of the home; a son, Richard Collins Thompson and wife, Jean S. Thompson, both of Chesapeake; a sister, Caroline Dunn of Chesapeake; a brother, Johnny Thompson of New Kent, Va.; a granddaughter, Gail T. Harris and husband, Michael C. Harris, both of Chesapeake; two grandsons, Richard Gary Thompson and wife, Carole W. Thompson, both of Harbinger, N.C., and Mark Alan Thompson and wife, Kellie H. Thompson, both of Harbinger, N.C.; two great-granddaughters, Chessie Harris and Morgan L. Thompson; and a great-grandson, Raleigh B. Thompson.

A graveside service will be held at Good Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery at 11 a.m. today by Broadmoor Congregation of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. The family will receive friends at the residence of the son, Indian Creek Road, Chesapeake, Va. Twiford Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, Great Bridge, is in charge. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart Fund.
