EUNA BELLE WORRELL

Euna Belle Speight Worrell, 95, of the 2500 block of Pruden Blvd. and formerly of Gatesville, N.C., a homemaker, died April 10, 1995, in Obici Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Worrell was born in Gatesville and was the widow of Walter R. Worrell. She was a member of Middle Swamp Baptist Church in Gates County, N.C., the Sunday School and the Women's Missionary Society.

Survivors include a daughter, Ola Mae W. Rountree of Portsmouth; three sons, Graham Worrell of Portsmouth, George E. Worrell of Virginia Beach and Joseph R. Worrell of Edenton, N.C.; a sister, Ollie S. Smith of Portsmouth; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary A. Parker Speight and Joseph M. Speight, and a son, Carlton S. Worrell.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Middle Swamp Baptist Church, Gates County, N.C., by the Rev. Joseph E. Buck. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home, Suffolk, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today and suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Gates County Rescue Squad.
