Gertrude May Andresen, 80, formerly of Newport Ave., died April 4, 1995, in Virginia Beach.
Mrs. Andresen was born in New York and was the widow of Soren Henry Andresen. She was a teacher retired from the Norfolk Public School System. She was a member of Central Congregational Christian Church, Delta Sigma Lambda Alumni Sorority, Retired Teachers Association, and Cape Henry Audubon Society. She was predeceased by her son, Soren Henry Andresen II.
Survivors include two daughters, Sonja Ostrander of Virginia Beach and Berit Hammond of Mathews County, Va.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, April 22, 1995, at 1 p.m. by Dr. Earl L. Boyette in Grantham Central Baptist Church, 430 Grantham Road, Norfolk. Burial will be private. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel in charge. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cape Henry Audubon Society, 5715 Carillo Ave., Norfolk 23508.
