On Saturday, April 8, 1995, Our Lord reunited Frances Lee Painter, 50, of the 1500 block of Eagle Ave. with her loving son, John Harold Nicholson and her father, George Harold Gosney, in Heaven.
Mrs. Painter was a member of East Ocean View Baptist Church and Alcoholics Anonymous.
Mrs. Painter was the daughter of Mrs. Frances Gosney Rosser and the late George Harold Gosney. Survivors include her husband, Charles Painter; four sisters, Linda Edwards and Betty Maxwell of Norfolk, Barbara Ritter and Beverly Brickhouse of Virginia Beach; nine nieces and nephews; nine great-nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 12, in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, at 7 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
