Walter Edward Southall, 67, of the 3500 block of Sea Horse Way, a retired Commander in the U.S. Navy, died April 9, 1995, in Virginia Beach.
He was born in Buffalo, N.Y., and was a member of Thalia Trinity Presbyterian Church, Virginia Beach.
Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Meryl Kihm of Lynchburg, Va.; a son, Kurt Arnold Southall of Virginia Beach; three grandchildren; and his former wife and best friend, Jackie Southall.
A memorial service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Thalia Trinity Presbyterian Church by Dr. James Young and the Rev. Robert Bradford. Burial will be private. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the American Heart Association.
