LYNHAVEN COSTON SR.

Lynhaven ``lyn'' Coston Sr., 74, of the 2700 block of Mapleton Ave., a retired equipment operator, died April 8, 1995, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

A native of Norfolk, he was the son of the late James D. and Mary Edwards Coston. He was retired from the Naval Supply Center, Norfolk.

Survivors include his wife, Lonnie Mae Coston of the home; two daughters, Linda Coston Smith of Chicago and Laverne Coston Nowlin of Yeadon, Pa.; two sons, Larry V. Coston and Leon J. Coston, both of Norfolk; a sister, Essie Coston Williams of Jamaica, N.Y.; two aunts, Sarah Branch of Smithfield, Va. and Gracie Goodman of Delaware; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Lynhaven Coston Jr. and a brother, James W. Coston.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Thursday in Riddick Funeral Chapel, 1225 Norview Ave., Norfolk, by the Rev. James Cooper. Burial will be in Hampton National Cemetery, Hampton, Va. Viewing will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family will receive friends at the residence.
