CHU HON YI KEI WOL YI

Dr. Chu Hon Yi and wife, Kei Wol Yi of Khabarovsk, Russia, were formerly of Virginia Beach.

Dr. Yi and wife had been serving as medical missionaries at the medical institute at Khabarovsk. The couple was found murdered on March 28, at their home.

Dr. Yi had worked at Virginia Beach General Hospital as a general practitioner and cardiologist.

Dr. Yi's survivors include two brothers and three sisters. Mrs. Yi is survived by eight brothers and four sisters. The Yi family was very active with the Tidewater Korean Baptist Church in Virginia Beach.

A visitation period will be held on Friday, April 14, from 6 to 10 p.m. in the chapel at Kellum Funeral Home, Pleasant Hall/Kempsville Chapel.

Funeral services are Saturday, April 15, at 1 p.m. at the Tidewater Korean Baptist Church, 301 Overland Road, Virginia Beach, Reverend Ji Duk Dho officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Memorials may be made to the Tidewater Korean Baptist Church for mission fund in memory of the Yi family.
