NAOMI S. WHITLEY

Naomi Sawyer Whitley, 66, of the 4100 block of Fourth St., also nicknamed ``Noni'' and ``Earth Angel,'' died April 12, 1995, in Chesapeake.

Mrs. Whitley was born in South Norfolk and was a member of Hickory United Methodist Church in Chesapeake. She retired as a floral sales representative from American Wholesale Floral Co. She was a former member of the Moose Auxiliary and the Cat Fanciers Association.

Survivors include her husband, Raymond L. ``Spike'' Whitley; a daughter, Patricia Elizabeth Britt Smith of Virginia Beach; a brother, Samuel Sawyer of Moyock, N.C.; and grandchildren, Jason Bailey and Hayes Smith, both of Virginia Beach.

A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today and at 1010 Coastaway Drive in Virginia Beach at all other times.

Her loving and giving personality endeared her to all who knew her.
