MARION B. BRINKLEY

Marion Virginia Bradshaw Brinkley of the 200 block of W. Constance Road, a retired woman's editor of the Suffolk News-Herald, died April 11, 1995.

A native of Suffolk, she was the daughter of the late Floyd Benjamin and Louise Williams Bradshaw of Suffolk. Mrs. Brinkley was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, a past co-chairman of the Altar Committee and a Sunday School teacher. She worked for the Suffolk News-Herald for 16 years prior to her retirement in 1980.

Survivors include her husband, A.D. Brinkley; her daughter and son-in-law, Virginia ``Gin'' B. Harrell and Randy M. Harrell of Elizabeth City, N.C.; a grandson, R. Mark Harrell of Greenville, N.C.; two brothers, Norman N. Bradshaw of Suffolk and Floyd B. Bradshaw Jr. of Portsmouth; and five nieces.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at the graveside in Cedar Hill Cemetery by the Rev. Vance Mann. The family will receive friends following the service at the grave site. Memorial donations may be made to the building fund of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 213 N. Main St., Suffolk, Va. 23434, or the Nansemond-Suffolk Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 1515, Suffolk, Va. 23439. R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
