WILLIAM S. ODENTHAL

William Stanley Odenthal, 54, a retired command master chief and park maintenance supervisor, died April 12, 1995, in his residence.

Mr. Odenthal was born in Portage, Pa. He retired from the Navy after 27 years and from HSAMWR-Cinclant Fleet Compound and was a Catholic. He was an active member of Back Bay Bass Masters, having held several offices. He received many commendations and awards throughout his 27 years of military service.

Survivors include his wife, Cora May ``Dee'' Odenthal; a daughter, Sherry Beaudoin of New Hampshire; a stepdaughter, Lisa Thomas of North Carolina; three stepsons, Stephen LeClair of New Hampshire, Brian LeClair of North Carolina and James LeClair of Georgia; his mother, Gertrude D. Odenthal of Pennsylvania; two sisters, JoAnne Fawcett of Massachusetts and Margaret Heilman of Pennsylvania; two brothers, David Odenthal and Albert Odenthal, both of Pennsylvania; and a beloved grandson, Eric Beaudoin of New Hampshire.

A funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, by Father Daniel Clem. Burial will be in Colonial Grove Memorial Park with military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, 2730 Ellsmere Ave., Norfolk, Va.
