Frances Oliver Lawrence Sachs, 80, of Parsons Residential Care, formerly of 4109 Lindenwood Drive, Chesapeake, died April 11, 1995, in a Portsmouth hospital.
Mrs. Sachs was born in Luvale, Ga. She retired from Madamoiselle Dress Shop in South Norfolk and was a member of Cradock Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Johnston C. Sachs; a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Patty Lawrence of Chesapeake; a brother, W. Frank Oliver Jr. of Virginia Beach; two granddaughters, Cindee L. Lawrence of Virginia Beach and Lori A. Lawrence of Chesapeake; and four grandsons, Christopher P. Lawrence of Chicago, Ill., and David G. Lawrence Jr., Michael R. Lawrence and Stephen T. Lawrence, all of Chesapeake. She was predeceased by a sister, Hazel O. Cottrell, and a brother, Hamilton Oliver.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Hwy. Chapel, by Dr. David R. Denney. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today and other times at 3342 Martin Johnson Road, Chesapeake.
