PARK CAMPGROUNDS OPENING

National Park Service campgrounds at Oregon Inlet and Ocracoke Island will open Friday.

Cape Point and Frisco Campgrounds will open May 26.

All campgrounds can serve tents, trailers and motor homes. Each has modern restrooms, potable water, unheated showers, grills and picnic tables. No utility connections are available.

The Ocracoke campground requires reservations from May 26 through Sept. 5, call 1-800-365-CAMP. Visa, Discover and MasterCard are accepted. The Oregon Inlet, Cape Point and Frisco campgrounds operate on a first-come, first-served basis.
