ALIVIA ANDREW, 19, an award-winning speaker from Princess Anne High School, uses her powerful speech titled ``Love, Loving You'' to help younger students gain confidence.
She loves to help children as well as the community. She strives to make a difference. Using her communication skills, Alivia has made speeches at Plaza Middle School, Tallwood High School, Virginia Beach Middle School and Bayside High teaching students about self-esteem and what happens when people don't have high self-esteem.
This summer Alivia won first place in the ``illustrated talk'' event at the Future Homemakers of America leadership conference in Orlando, Fla.
Alivia takes Childcare II at the Virginia Beach Vocational-Technical Center where she teaches preschoolers. Alivia also helps disabled students at Princess Anne West Building, taking them for walks, reading them stories and teaching basic life skills.
Alivia will enter Shaw University in North Carolina this fall.
