Silas Fletcher Sr., 75, of Route 1, died April 12, 1995, in an Asheville hospital.
A native of Ashley County, Ark., he was a World War II Marine Corps veteran and a member of Gatesville Baptist Church. He was a retired accountant.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Carolyn Wilson of Sunbury; two sons, Silas Fletcher Jr. and Robert Fletcher, both of Winton; two sisters, Alice Harris of Croosett, Ark., and Katheleen Carlson of Portsmouth, Va.; a brother, Marion Fletcher of San Diego, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Harrell Funeral Home by the Rev. Robert May. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help defray costs. The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Fletcher tonight at 7:30 p.m.
